Chuck, yeah stay out of the shrooms for a bit. And yeah rainbows do there share of acrobatics some times more then others and sometimes not at all but yes they'll jump. I would think if there are trout streams that feed into the watershed then I would think the trout  could be there.

Subject: [VFB] This AIN'T no fish story....... I Think LOL

Folks: I was fishing at the local watershed that I do most of my fishing at today, and I had a weird thing happen.. (I caught a fish LOL..J/K) No.. I was fishing with a chili pepper, and had caught several nice bluegills and a large mouthed bass that weighed about a pound...Then, I had changed over to a chartreuse wooly bugger, with a green glass bead head... And BAM, another large mouth bass hit it first cast.. Well, he went towards the tree that was in the water I was fishing near that had fallen into the water... Then, like a bass, he came straight up out of the water, shook his head, spit out the fly, and was gone... BUT.... It was a Rainbow Trout... But, the water in this watershed is tooo warm for trout... Has anybody ever heard of trout that do not fit the mold of where they should live??? I thought, maybe it was just the way that the sun hit the side of his body.. But the bass have a white belly, a dark stripe down their sides, and olive green everywhere else, and this fish had a "rainbow" right down his side, and even his mouth looked like it had a "hook" to it, like Trout do.. Now, I live half way up Cheaha Mt, which is the highest point in Bama, and we DO have a few rainbows up in the high altitude, Cold water, spring fed creeks there, so, since this watershed IS fed by those mountain streams, could one have survived the warm water??? He appeared to weigh between one and two pounds... I sure wish I could have landed him.. Do rainbows do that coming up out of the water like bass do??? I cannot think of any other fish it could have been other than a rainbow trout.. Whadda ya'll think???? am I eating too many mushrooms??? LOL, Chuck
