Fish Story of the Day:
Been reading in Flyfishing in Saltwater Magazine (Vol 13, #3), and Donald Trump, Jr. has either the best bragging rights or has enough $$$ to buy the biggest lie in fishing history.
I'd vote for the latter.
He was fishing marlin above a bait ball, flycasting right into the bait that was jammed against the surface, but in an instant the marlin were all gone.
From below the entire bait-ball, plus his fly,
disappeared down the gullet of a humpback whale.
At the very least, I don't think he can identify whales very well. Isn't the Humpback a Baleen whale that filters all its food out of the water? It was always my impression that they don't swallow big chunks of food.
But, on the other hand, who am I to question it?
