Group,

I too would like to respond to this thread.

I have come & gone a couple of times. I do not find
this list inviting: it has gone the way of others.
Not good or bad just an observation--sorry if you are
offended.

I know other tyers who have made the same decision. It
seems that the general thought is one of
perspective--how it affects you personally. Well, I
wish we could all get beyond that but we cannot. We
are just people in a confused world and cannot seem to
get past the idea that ALL emails are directed at YOU.
If ya don't like it: just hit the "delete" tab.

I had a good friend who was kicked off the list by
Byard because of his comments toward another member--I
guess Byard was right (he owns the list). However,
this individual was a respected individual in his
circle. He was a retired veteran that saw service near
& far for over 25 years. It seemed a bit obsured to
dump him from the list because he had a disagreement
with a "valued" member (please forgive me as all are
valued members). Here again, it is perspective. The
VALUED stayed and he was ejected--what a loss, as this
guy was a world travler who has fished in many areas
that most of us only dream about. We all could have
learned from him. Believe me when I tell you that this
individual does not need any support from us in any
way. He has interests internationally and his time is
limited. He HAS attended the Sowbug Roundup and liked
the event (thank you Tony).

Personally, the list doesn't do much for me. But I do
have several friends that I keep in contact with and
if were not for this list I would never have gotten to
know them (thank you guys & gals for that). Just seems
to me like too many chiefs.

Sorry group but it has come time to get on with what
the list was about; fly tying & fly fishing---leave
the personal stuff at the keyboard.

Just my 2 cents-sorry if any are affronted.
