Folks: The weather continues to be BEAUTIFUL here in the "Heart of Dixie" state of Alabama.. I went out for about 3 hours today and caught 31 bluegills and one shell cracker...Temps were in the high 70's to low 80's with night time temps about 55...I hope it stays this way for a while.. I plan to fish again Friday..Gotta get all the fishing in I can before the cold makes it impossible for my fibromyalgia and/or arthritis. I thought about a battery operated electric blanket to wrap up in to fish under. Do they make such a thing??? Or maybe "electric long johns" LOL.. Be my luck I'd fall overboard and electrocute myself...BTW, the moon is almost 3/4, and I have always had my best luck three days before and three days after the full moon, so the next week or so should be great if the weather holds..Surface water temp is now 74-77 degrees..and I brought home a mess to fry the other day and one female had eggs in her... I know they say that some bluegills will spawn several times a season, till the water gets too cool... Chuck
