RE: [VFB] 10X tippet

Michael: I was surprised by your comment regarding the 10X tippet. It is standard here to use 6X, and more often than not 7X leaders and then as usual a finer tippet than the leader on rivers. I have always used 7X, and 3X on the lakes for heavi-ish wets. I would assume the 10X would then be suitable for the spring creeks etc where smaller fish to a pound or so are the norm and 3 weight or less rods are the norm. Correct me if I am wrong please someone. R
