Chuck,

I'm not sure about the salmon flys, but coming from the Bahama's last week (no fishing) -- I did get to see some fish and they were very colourful. The blues and yellows were really vibrant to my eyes. I would think the same for sea-run salmon as they'd be used to a bright fish? How far off am I list?

Chris, Everybody.. This brings up a question I have had but never asked.. Those saltwater and salmon flies are sooooo colorful for the most part... Is that for the eye of the tiers??? Or For the fish??? I mean, do the saltwater and salmon naturally feed on things that colorful?? If so, what type fish, insect, etc would they be imitating??? Or are they just "suggestive" of, say , baitfish?? Chuck
