Nev Actually, my show mice can't catch fish. I don't trim the belly hair at the hook point enough to leave enough gap to hook a fish, and because they look better and they're safer around kids and pets that way. Ask Bob Mead. I had to replace his mouse after his cat chewed his up pretty bad. But it didn't hook itself, which is good.
My 'fishing' mice, on the other hand, are pretty ratty looking.
