Ed, I rarely fish streamers for Brookies, but browns is another story. Fall streamer fishing with large trout-colored streamers is productive.
I use 2"- 4" rainbow trout colored awesome-hair minnows- material and tying is on www.Virtualflybox.com. Paul Schmookler has used my minky sculpins on large brookies back east and was extremely successful on very selective fish.
