Chuck, I use household Borax on birds. Make a split down the meaty part of the wing, remove as much meat as you can. Fill the cavity with Borax. I have some wings that are over 10 years old that were treated that way. If that bird has some "cinnamon" wing feathers, they are in big demand. You only find a few on a wild bird.
