I will attest that it is, in fact, largely invisible. Of course, so is the
size 32 Mustad that you would use it on. For those of you that don't know,
that's the really tiny size 32 that will fit in the hook gap of a TMC 32. It's
pretty mind blowing because just prior to see this Tom Thumb size stuff, we've
been staring at a giant dry fly in the shark hook size. And then you have the
Flex-O flies and the Wall of Hackle. It wasn't until I got in the car and down
the road did I realize why there were 4 vises set up in that tying studio. If
you're playing with that kind of madness you'll need some help. I just couldn't
figure out which vise was for Buggs, or Demento or Veronica.

Subject: [VFB] 50/0 thread- denier

50/0 thread...

When a tiny baby spider shoots out an almost invisible string of web
material, and it floats off into space on the slightest breeze...

This thread is finer than that web, as a piece of it floats off by itself
with just the heat rise in a still room. No kidding. When I hang the
bobbin from the vise with it, one has to look at it just right to see the
light reflect off of it, or it looks like the bobbin is suspended in
mid-air.

Ask Jayhawk Jeff- he got a demo. I think I sent Paul Marriner a sample too.

I'd like to know if this stuff will even mic out as anything at all. Can
anyone test it for me?

DonO
