Garry, I'm trying to find the photo.
Actually, if you were to ignore existing hooks and just draw a #28 Mustad hook to scale, then proportionately draw smaller hooks as you would scaling down say size 20 down to 28, then match hooks to the drawings, you'd come up with different sizes than exist now for these hooks. Using Mustad #28 as the bench-mark: A Tiemco #32 would be a size 27/26 A Mustad #32 would fall in around size 34 to 36. A VMC #30 actually falls in at around #32 A VMC #34 falls in at a #36, slightly smaller than a Mustad #32 If I can't find the photo, I'll shoot another.
