[VFB] need help with material

I am hoping the list can help me identify a synthetic wing material.
A friend gave me a sample fly to copy for a fishing trip we are planning. He 
does not know the name of the material used in the fly or where he purchased 
it. The material appears to be a coarse
type of fish hair with a fine holographic tinsel mixed in with it. I have 
checked all the local stores and can not find a similar product. Does anyone 
posibly know the name of this material?
