Jim, You might also consider the Pflueger Purist series rods. The conservation department education program uses the 8 ft 6 inch models to teach fly casting and they are sweet, cheap little rods. Ok, Nates birthday is on the 11th, he'll be 7, and I think it's time to get him his own fly rod (I know this cause he tells me all the time : ) ). So any recommendations for rods? Need to keep it kind of on the low cost side. Thanks Jim
