Hello All, I'm the one who had the fly catch fire using Zap a Gap. I haven't tried it again on the same tinsel. I don't know if this is a reproducible phenomenon. It might have been something else in the mix. It did work the way I said, but I'm not blaming it on any one product. Like I say, I didn't put the same stuff together again.
The mylar tinsel was a product used to mix into wool or silk before spinning it into thread. It's very thin, like hair, or smaller. I don't know if it would cause a fire on a larger piece of mylar. It was just a fortuitous mix that created an interesting (though dangerous) effect. Steve, In Maryland
