An Adams, a Wolly Bugger, a Pheasent Tail (or Hare's Ear or Prince Nymph or Zug Bug) one streamer and a good Caddis imitation..........Done Deal. IF, you know what the fuck your doin'. Case Closed! Folks: I'm starting to think that the Hare's Mask I bought came with a "crew cut" LOL... I was trying to start tying the Gold Bead Hare's Ear Nymphs tonight, and I cut up my dubbing, and it came out good. But when i started trying to get some tail hair from the Mask, they are sooo short, I can't even grip them to comb out all that underfur in my fangers.. Is the fly still called a Hare's Ear Nymph if I use "raccoon mask" guard hairs for the tail??? LOL.. Thanks, ChuckWait.. I just went back and read Jimi's post here in red, so with the Any variation, I guess raccoon tail is OK , but, if I wanted to use the hare's ear hairs for a tail, how do I get them long enough??
