Chuck,
I tie a Spring Peeper  from black foam on a 16 hook.
When  these are hatching out in the spring on the pond
I used to fish, it was all you needed to catch all the
Gills you wanted.
I tied a bunch to go with the Frogg Swap along with
the Froggies a few years ago. Never got any flies back
from that swap.
