Chuck, if you let the feather barbs dry in the separated state, I'm sure
that's why they're not 'velcro-ing' back together. Try to get them joined
while they are still wet.

Subject: [VFB] Resticking feathers
Folks: On a feather, each barb has a "hook and latch" right??? Like velcro
that sticks all the barbs together to make a complete feather right??? Ain't
that how it works??? But on the wild turkey feathers I processed myself, I wash
them with warm water and Dawn dish detergent, but some of the barbs get
separated.. i thought you could just let the feather dry, then stroke the barbs
back together again, but it don't seem to be working like that for Me.. Any
suggestions on what I'm doing wrong??? Thanks, Chuck
