I also have a Norvise. I have had a thompson, a Renzetti and now I have a Regal and a Nor-Vise. I tie almost exclusively now on the Nor-Vise. I did purchase the midge jaws for times when I am tying up a lot of tiny flies. However, I can tie easily to size 20 - well, as easily as I tie. I love the bobbins. Even if I did not use the vise I would use the bobbins. I hope that this helps.

He can teach you many tricks with it. As for me I wouldn't trade my Nor-Vise for anything on the market for two reasons. One, my wife bought mine for me for Christmas many years ago and two it is, in opinion, the best vise on the market.
