Morning folks, was a long drive yesterday and I was beat when I got

Well, like I said the other day, I am Allergic to the 21st century.
Here is
a list of the allergens that I tested positive to with a reaction
in the
moderate to high level. I am posting this to the group because I
know we
have several knowledgeable folks on the list familiar with
chemicals and
compounds. If anyone recognizes any of these that are common to or
associated with any fly tying materials or other associated
equipment I
would appreciate a heads up on it.
Now the list,
1, Nickel Sulfate
Most likely the Nickel. You don't get nickel allergy just like that,
it needs sensitisation. You probably handled a lot of nickel coins in
your life ;-)
2, Wool Alcohols, (Lanolin)
FUnny. Some fly tying wools could contain trace amounts, although I
doubt it, with all the cleaning that normally takes place. Lanolins
are pretty specific to sheep and related animals. I don't think that
llama wool contains them.
3, Caine Mix
4, Ethylenediamine Dihydrochlorice
5, Epoxy Resin
Well, there you go... no more poxy flies for you.
6, Black Rubber Mix
7, Mercaptobenzothiazole, (MBT)
Stinky. Not likely to be found in tying stuff.
8, p-Phenylenediamine
Developer. Stain for lichen determination...
9, Mercapto Mix
10, Thimerosal
11, Thiuram Mix
Pesticide (fungicide mainly)
12, Formaldehyde, (Guess I have to be cremated now due to
reactions..;-))
Preservative. Some 'whole body parts' may be preserved with it.
