I remember Paul Morrisey. I have a hat pin tyed by him, so does Steve. I
bought my tube fly kit from him.... Hey he's the one responsible for my
infatuation with tube flies!!!!
I think I might even have a couple of tube flies he tied... If I remember
right they were general practitioners a green one and an orange one tied on
tubes. Steve took one of these also but the other one I have in a
collection somewhere.

Deb

Yeah, i've been buying "stuff" off both Carl and roger for a few years
now......2/3 now at least. Carl is olike a complete mystery..........where
he comes across all that cool "stuff" is something he's very tight lipped
about. And who can blame him. Hey if i knew that, i might just cut him out
of the deal, lmao. Actually i like talkin' with him a lot, because he's also
a Luthier, and i played guitar for many years.....so we have a lot in common
on that tip. Right, Roger has had that "stash" for at least a couple years
now. It all belonged to a fellow member of our tying club (CFTG) Paul
.........jeeze, there's so many dang Pauls in the world of salmon flies.
Pitalis, Seymore, Jorgensen (boy i miss him), Rossman, and about 5
more.......i can't think of his last name. Anyway, he was a very nice guy i
got to meet about 10 times almost always at shows. He also had a lot of
Catskill connections. I bought some of that "stash" back in Sept., at the
IFTS show as well. All the money Roger gets for that stuff is going to
Paul's widow. Most years i just buy one skin or so from John
McLain.....usually some pheasent or the other. Always better to get complete
skins. I really miss Phil Castleman's booth, "Castle Arms." He always had
the biggest stash of stuff for salmon fly tyers. And of course if he's not
there, then Paul Seymore isn't going to be there tying. I'm so glad i got my
Paul Seymore fly back when he used to always be there. I got to pick it from
guite a few he had there at the show. I GOT IT! Moresey.......Paul Moresey.
Whew! lmao, mark.....
