It wouldn't hold up to fish. I have much better luck using the denser foam
from flipflops - we generically call it a shoefly popper. Plus its easily
shaped using a dremel and an emory board. Let me know if you need more info.

It's almost 1/2" thick, 2 color (red/black, yellow/black). I punched out some
(using the handy-dandy hole punch set somebody on this list recommended), and
have a few ideas for flies to tie with it...
Any other patterns you guys recommend?
