Good Luck with the interview. Negotiate moving costs if hired; offer at
taking less pay (1-2 bucks an hour) as another tool to pay the move. I have
moved numerous times and this was one of my negioating measures. It costs
around 20 K for the average move; unless you do all of it by yourself (I am
too old and spoiled for that)
Recently, I just returned from S. Korea and although the Army paid; it still
cost me over 2 grand (new license, insurance, registration, hotels, food and
most important - my fishing license.
Great fishing in that area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I'd like to apologize to everyone for posting this to the
group, but I don't see anyway around it... I know this post ISN'T actually
"fishing related", but then again it is, because I was really looking
forward to joining Jimi, Mark, Tony and others, fishing the White for a full
week of relaxation and spending some quality time with a bunch of great
friends...

Here's my dilemma... I've been looking around, sending resumes, to
various companies, throughout the western states for employment and got a
phone call yesterday from *"AMR"* in Colorado Springs, Colorado... They
want me there next Thursday, the 15th, for an interview, testing and
possible employment... They are very impressed with my application and
resume... It would mean an increase of twice the amount of money I'm making
now, over $20 an hour, plus full benefits, (I get absolutely NO benefits
with the company I'm with right now)... The gentleman I spoke with, told me
that once I'm hired, I have to go through an "academy" which trains you to
their protocols, etc... Anyway, this "academy" won't start till April 9th
which means I have to move to Colorado Springs prior to that date...
Soooooo, with the cost of moving expenses, etc., my finances at this time
probably won't allow me to attend the Sowbug and have enough money to move
up there, find an apartment, etc....

Soooo... At this point, I'm not really sure I'm going to be able to attend
the Sowbug... They will let me know immediately next Thursday if I'm hired
or not... As soon as I know, I will let everyone know one way or the
other... Thanks everyone for putting up with me...
