Re: [VFB] Anvil ICE serrated scissors From Lines EndDon: Yeah, I was afraid I'd
cut myself with the razorblades..I tried them, but got them from Wal Mart, and
the only brand they had was Persona, and they almost made me cut my fingers
off, cause they are just not sharp enough.. I do kinda like sculpting with
these scissors too, which is what I have been doing..Chuck

  Chuck,
A lot of tiers trim deer-hair with razor blades. I tried it, did well
enough, but didn't enjoy it as much. I find it very relaxing trimming &
sculpting deerhair flies, and a razor just didn't replace that. I have the
same anvil scissors you do, and just wore them out over a few years. Now I
have a pair of Dr. Slicks and am wearing them out, too.

Oh yeah she does... In fact, her sewing machine has to go into the shop
Monday to get a new bobbin wheel.. She has worked for over 10 years at Sewing
Factories down here (what few didn't go to Mexico after NAFTA) and she used to
be able to get GREAT scissors pretty cheap....I told her NOT to touch these,
that I'd buy her a pair if she wanted some, but to leave mine alone.. These
things are soooo neat, I got in there trimming up some of the deer hair bugs
I'd made, and when you start trimming those things (Cause you are never
satisfied that they look good enough) and I almost ended up with BARE
hooks...LOL, Chuck

Folks: I got my Anvil ICE Curved serrated scissors I ordered from Lines
End today.. They are AWESOME.. At first I thought they were not serrated, but
it is a micro serration.. cuts deer hair like hot butter and smooth as silk.. I
love these baby's... Chuck

If she sews, be sure to keep them away from your wife. I've lost several
pairs over the years that way.
