Jeff.
You are right on with your reply. It is warming up
some so breathable waders are OK. The water temp on
the rivers stays about 52*F year round.
The Chili Peppers should work well as the streamers
should.
We have had so much rain and the water has been high.
Bull Shoals (White River) have been running 6 to 7
units round the clock for almost two months. Norfork
has been running their 2 units. Crooked Creek has been
"blown out" for weeks. Yesterday, BS only had only one
unit going. Dean got out for a while at the Trophy
area and got a couple of nice trout on Sculpin type
streamers before they turned up the one unit to 100%.
Wading was possible down river at Rim Shoals. Two of
my friends fished "high water" from a boat on
Wednesday. They did well fishing the "seams" with
Zebra Midges. They C&R about 70 trout between the two
of them. The bait chuckers have been doing well on the
high water with spoons and power bait. Some nice size
browns have been caught. Shad are coming through the
units and large white jugs have been taking a lot if
trout in this high water.
Our club has put in a request for low water during the
show week, if they approve it, there should be some
good wade fishing.
Just took a look out the back windows, the river is
down again this morning and there are a few trout
midging below the dock.
Less than 2 weeks to go, see you all then.
