To ease my "I'm not at Sowbug" pain, I attended the annual
International Sportsman's Expo on the 17th, and to my surprise found
Joyce Westphal tying the "Cup-a- Caddis" fly on her Nor-vise,
using touch dubbed Arizona Simi- Seal for the body and hackle, and a
wing cut from a used tea bag (with a little bit of toothbrush
spattered paint) coated (at the end) with "Hard as Nails" fingernail
polish. It was fun to finally meet Joyce after all of these years!
Although there were only four or five tyers demonstration tying in a
booth set up by the SLC chapter of Trout Unlimited (Stonefly Society)
it felt like a mini-sowbug and I learned a few new techniques and
patterns and spent a good deal of my day there. In addition were the
demonstrations from the usual luminaries so all in all it was a good
day.

Will do a report if any interest as soon as I get
"rested" up a bit. This was the biggest one yet.
Still have friends coming buy and staying at my house.
Several list members will be coming by to fish today.
Several were here yesterday.
