VMC makes a size 30 spade end bait hook, made from violin wire.  Can't find
them on the net, but I used to get them from the mfg. rep.   They look
bigger because they have a longer shank.  Fall-back is that they are wire
hooks, and thus pretty weak when compared to Mustad's forged gold #32s.

I also have a size smaller than Mustad #32, probably a #34, un-named mfg.,
long shank, spade end, and made of the same violin wire.

Oh yeah, the Mustads have a barb and the wire hooks don't.  I have photos of
all of these hooks together.
