Glad to hear that you are feeling good enough to be back on the water.

Subject: [VFB] Theres Fishing, then theres Catching
It was so beautiful this morning I snuck out to one of my favorite secret
waters to try and do some fishing. First time I have tried any walking on
uneven ground, rocks or such since I got my new brace. Have had it long
enough I feel very comfortable with it.
Got parked and rigged up and started down the stream. The first hundred
feet was a bit interesting. It is choked with cat claw and reeds so it is
a
bit of a challenge. Made it through that and then spent the next 10
minutes
getting used to walking over river rock and gravel. Made it to the first
pool and got a small 6" bass on the first cast. The water was so clear you
could see the fish coming, sometimes 3 or more racing to the fly. Spent a
bit over an hour on the 3 main pools and then headed back when the wind
started up the canyon.
Final tally, 8 bass 6 to 10 inches. One bass about 16". About 2 dozen
yellow perch, 7 to 10 inches long and way to many green sunfish to count.
Theresa has my camera in DC so will have to go back and try again when
they
get home. Think I may have over done it a bit, but will set back, have
some
lunch and watch a bit of the Indy and rest some.
All in All, was a great first day out on the water in way to long a time.
