Just got back from a trip that can only be described as a lifetime experience. Hiked into a river in Colorado right in the middle of the Salmon Fly hatch and the fishing could not have been better. Two days of PC's crawling absolutely everywhere, the sky looked like a futuristic super-highway careening with Pteronarcys up to 200 feet in the air. It was amazing watching everything benefit from the bugs. There were groups of goslings gorging themselves on the banks and completely cleaning the grass. Lizards, fish, fishermen, everyone was happy. Met a guide from Crested Butte that was fishing for his day off, it was a blast watching him fish a slick near our campsite where he hooked several fish well past dark on large caddis. Got invited to his house where he and his wife gave quarters for a night and then he floated us down the upper Gunnison just for fun. Absolutely amazing trip and have never met more hospitable people. If you are ever in the area and are looking for a guide or advice look up Adam Olmstead at The Dragon Fly Outfitters or www.FallCreekAnglers.com <http://www.fallcreekanglers.com/> . What an amazing trip. Lane McKellar
