Deb,
I gotta tell ya a quick story- fly related.

I sold my big boat Sunday, and got to talking to the guy and his wife about
fishing. He lives on the N. Platte River and invited me over to fish with
him, and I offered to teach him how to flyfish. You know where that
progressed. He got to see my flyroom and all the strange things in there,
and got a tour of the Baits Hotel. Guess what was his favorite fly of ALL?
Starvin Marvin! He begged me to tie him up one.

So see, YOU'RE not so strange after all. LOL

On fishing in bear country, you're right about the slower ones being invited
to go along. That's why I bought my little side-kick. I don't need to
outrun that bear anymore, as I can gently persuade him not to eat me.

Dr. D

PS Don't worry, I got 3 boats left.

ROTFLOL. I like it!
I was attempting to clean off my desk but I had to stop and appreciate all
the flies I have ... just a few from Don O :)....which really slowed down
my progress. What ever caused Dons Dementia I'm thankful... my desk is a
much more interesting place to sit down.
My input into this since I fish a lot of saltwater is..... Just make sure
your buddy is the one using the 10 ft rod. Daphne.... guess what you're
getting for Christmas. Of course ....I'm kidding!!!! Alright bad joke.
Chalk it up next to the one about fishing in bear country just make sure you
can run faster than the guy you fish with.... same thing. I think I need
to go get my coffee now. Good morning everyone.
Grins,
Deb

I tried to drop my rod from the side of the truck and an arc jumped out 4"
and zapped the tar out of my hand. I have always wondered if this was the
precursor to a real strike, them little ions telling the bolt which was the
easiest way.

Ah ha !! This explains a lot. This shocking incident was responsible
for the "birth" of Bugs. Dimento and the rest most likely resulted from the
subsequent shock therapy.
