Deb, I gotta tell ya a quick story- fly related. I sold my big boat Sunday, and got to talking to the guy and his wife about fishing. He lives on the N. Platte River and invited me over to fish with him, and I offered to teach him how to flyfish. You know where that progressed. He got to see my flyroom and all the strange things in there, and got a tour of the Baits Hotel. Guess what was his favorite fly of ALL? Starvin Marvin! He begged me to tie him up one.
So see, YOU'RE not so strange after all. LOL On fishing in bear country, you're right about the slower ones being invited to go along. That's why I bought my little side-kick. I don't need to outrun that bear anymore, as I can gently persuade him not to eat me.
