I'm glad you mentioned that, Jimmy D, as I was just getting ready to ask
Byard a question that I'll ask everyone here instead:
I didn't find a product called "Web wing" on Lines End, and was told
elsewhere (forget where) that "a piece of rust-brown organza that is
splattered with an old toothbrush using black paint" will work just as
well...
Having never used web- wing, my question is twofold: First, does organza
seem like a suitable substitute? Personally, I think not, as i pull organza
apart for wings on smaller spinners while the web- wing I *thought* was
tear- proof. Second, does anyone know of another name for this "web- wing"
material? I'd prefer going through Lines End but can't seem to find it
anywhere...
I hope that this is still "on topic" enough to post here. Just in case, I'm
going to try my hand at some new-to-me hopper patterns that use the web-
wing for an under- wing material.
Thanks in advance and tight lines,
Pete
