I remember when Studebaker came out with their "revolutionary new design" in the early 50's. Everyone joked that you couldn't tell if it was coming or going. Both ends looked pretty much the same. My older cousin had one but we didn't go fishing in it. He didn't fish and my fishing was limited to the hand-line in my hip pocket.

When I was a kid, bout 10, I learned to drive in a car that was real easy to drive. My Daddy had I think a '55 Nash Rambler.. It had a "push button" transmission... I think a lot of Studebakers (sp) had these too..And, to make it fishing related, he DID take us fishing all the time in that car.. We used to crappie fish at the dead end bridge at the river with live minnows, and He cut his own cane poles and dried, burned (or whatever you call that heat treatment) varnished them himself cause we used about 16-20 ft poles.. Man, we'd be going down the road in that car with 19 cane poles sticking wayyyyyyyyyyy out the back window LOL..He bought about 25 cans of spray paint and we painted it sky blue halfway down and nay on the top hale to make it two toned... It wasa beautiful car... Those were great days..Chuck

NEAT!

I never had a Nash, but I had a '47 Frazier when I was in college. It was a very odd color - kind orange-ish brown. My older brother dubbed it "Baby-s**t Brown". Ran like a top.

It was the only car I ever had stolen. :-(
