That's the cast I use most. The P&T lakes I usually fish are surrounded with
trees, coming all the way to the water... and you can't wade. There might be
one or two places per lake where you can do a false cast, but you will have
to be VERY careful with where you place the line behind you... because there
will be branches (filled with flies) at both sides of it. I often fish an
entire day without doing a single false cast.

Then there's the "roll" cast, where you raise your rod up, letting the line
come toward you.  When your rod gets almost verrtical, you flip the rod
forward and the line will "loop" and roll all the way to the end of the
tippit.
