If my house burned down and I had to replace everything I would still buy another Davise. It has gotten rave reviews from many places and can be had on eBay http://search.ebay.com/danvise . I have a metal full rotary vise from Tierra del Fuego Patagonia that I no longer use. I bought it new on ebay a year ago for about $120 with a c-clamp and pedestal. The company is now defunct, but if you want it I would sell it for $50. It has a nice heavy wood base and the jaws use two screws like the older style renzetti's. If you are interested I can take some pictures.
