Sound like you had a great trip, I love the Costilla and wish I could fish it every day. The Cimarron is a little more bushy and requires more in and out, although I've never been in the dream water area.

Caught 7 fish in two days on the Dream Water of the Cimarron, just east of Ute Park and the Rio Costilla near Red River. VERY TECHNICAL fishing! I only got into the water twice on the Cimarron and not at all on the Rio Costilla, a meadow stream where you could walk down the bank and cast. Spent most of my time tying on new droppers and hiding behind bushes so as not to spook the skittish fish. Several big fish just flat broke off. My largest was a 12" Rio Grande Cutthroat on the Rio Castilla and a 14' rainbow on the Dream Water. The other five were 10' and less, nothing to write home about. I had really bad problems with my feet and could only fish for a couple hours on Thursday. Could hardly walk on Friday, so I stayed at the cabin, along with one of my Buds who had Montezuma's Revenge. Fished another couple hours Saturday on the Rio Costilla. Most would think the trip was a BUST, but not so, at least I got to fish a little, with the plus of taking two nice sized trout, and enjoying the company of three of my good friends for a few days.. Sorry, but no pics. To see what the Rio Costilla looks like, click on the accompanying link. http://flyfishnewmexico.com/costilla.html JIMMY D -- **************** ><((((((((º> ************** JIMMY D.
