Did you ever mix a soft and a dry (hard) hackle this way?

I've roped two or more different colored and length hackles into the peacock
strands and rope-dubbed the bodies of wooly buggers and wooly-worm
caterpillars.  Great results.  Like dense brown short-hackles and sparse
green long-hackles- all roped in.
