This weekend is our fall recess at the high school, a time I usually
indulge myself in great fall stillwater fishing. This year.
however, my wife wants to drive down and spend the holiday with my
youngest son, who recently moved down to the LA area. While I don't
mind the visit, the thought of a four day vacation without fishing is
killing me.
I have never done any surf fishing, but have an 8 weight rod and an
assortment of 8 weight lines that I seldom use. I won't have room in
the car for anything but a couple of rods, reels, flies, boots and
waders. Is there anybody in that area that wants to hook up for some
fishing? Or any suggestions for fishing there, either salt or
traditional? I will be staying near Anaheim Saturday through Monday,
driving back on Tuesday.
