love, but I hope that it will be worth it. I'm sure you know that little jobs

Hi Gang. The editor job with Texas Fish & Game magazine is taking more
of my time than I thought. Now the editor wants me to update the Texas
Lakes and Bays Atlas for 2008-2009. That's in addition to my monthly
column called Texas Hotspots. Just think of a 350 page atlas that has
maps of all the major lakes and saltwater bays, intercoastal, etc. in
Texas, including a map for each, with all the hotspots recorded, not
only on the map, but for each hotspot there's a Name, GPS coordinate,
best month, best bait and best fishing tactic. Much of this will be the
same as the current atlas, but there are several lakes in the NW part of
the state that we've never listed and some that need to be rotated out.
Good thing about it is that I will have some help from guides, for they
are responsible for coming up with the lake map, GPS, etc. These are
the same guides I work with each month, so they know me and I them.
Once the information is collected, I'll compile it all and get it ready
for publication. And, yes, I'll be paid for the Atlas work too.
With all that said, I need to step back from the Daily Quote and Daily
Joke for a few months. Anybody out there feel like filling in for me?
Rick, you're welcome to the Quotes and Chuck, you have the JFTD email
list, but if somebody else wants to do the daily quote, just contact me
and I'll send you my 100 pages of fishing quotes that I've compiled, in
a word doc. 345 kb long. Don't despair though, if nobody steps forward,
I will continue doing the quotes, but not the Jokes.
