Hi Everyone,

I haven't piped up on the list for quite a while and figured I'd catch up
with everyone...

Fishing the trout streams in Montana was an absolute kick this year... the
first trip was in July for a week. My wife Christina and I spent a few days
over in Paradise valley north of Yellowstone fishing big creek and a few
others. I've started to post photos at my website www.nwtroutchaser.com
<http://www.nwtroutchaser.com/> but have a lot more to post so check back
for some great photos.

The second trip was with "the boys" my two brothers in September to the
Flint valley, and Rock creek area... I tied up a bunch of modified
Lafontaine "doublewings" and Wow! What a killer fly... the fly pulled up big
browns to the surface for some great dry fly fishing. You can check out a
photos of the fly right here

here is a photo of one of the fishy victims of the dreaded doublewing.

this nice brown was pulled up to the surface while there was no surface
activity at all and it was a huge size #10. We fished, wesrfork rock creek,
rock creek, flint creek, monture creek, fish creek, and a bunch of others.
I'll have photos posted in the next few days. I also saw the biggest brook
trout I've ever seen in my life in a little stream you could jump across.
They were impossible to fish without spooking them and we only caught one
small one. While in Montana we caught, brookies, west slope cutts,
Yellowstone cutts, rainbows, browns, and bull trout.

Tony Spezio, Hi Tony! I saw your flies and a write up in Fly Tyer while I
was over in Montana fishing so I started digging through my tying kit and
whipped out your chili pepper and white river demon... and declared "hey
Tony tied these!" nice job Tony.

Kayak fishing! I'm so stoked I just got a honie Outback SUV sit on top
kayak... the cool thing is that you can peddle them for hands free
fishing... does anybody else fish from a yak? I was sold after the first
test... you can peddle, paddle, or sail on these babies!

Back under my rock...

Bill P.
