The Eider duck is the source for Eider down. Reputed to be the warmest down
of all. And of course, the most expensive.
There are 4 species of North American Eider ducks; King, Stellers,
Speckled, and Common.

They are in Europe, along the shores in winter, and in Iceland,
Scandinavia and Russia during the breeding season. They're a large
