Seems like you have to keep it. RX 4xx doesn't support legacy BIOS, only
UEFI firmware.

Greetings.
I'm writing with a rather annoying problem. I am unable to get audio output
through HDMI on an AMD RX480 card that is being passed through to a Windows
8.1 VM.
So, I decided to create the VM again but using legacy BIOS instead of UEFI. Low
and behold, the HDMI audio works fine, although I have to leave a spice/QXL
video card attached to the VM otherwise it won't boot, unlike with UEFI where I
need only have the AMD card passed through and the VM will boot.
Is there any work-around for the above, or will I need to keep a spice video
around as a secondary monitor, even though I don't use it?
Thanks.
Luke
