The TV software that came with it (it's a Haupauge WinTV card), had an
option that the web site said to use that works well in WinME.. IT's not
capture or overlay.. I forget now what it's called.. There it is, dib draw (
http://www.hauppauge.com/html/faq.htm#dibdraw ).. Using that under WinME has
worked well, but either of the other two options causes the power switch to be
used..
