     If that card is similar to the PV951 model (which I have), then you
need the pic16c54 driver. Use this in /etc/modules.conf:

[=====cut here=====]
options bttv      card=42
options tuner     type=5
options tvaudio   pic16c54=1
[=====and here=====]

     Also, make sure you use a new bttv (>= 0.7.80) since the older ones
have problems with the pic16c54 driver (you get intermittent sound, and
sometimes it remains on and you can't turn it off).

     As a side-note, make sure the line-in isn't muted by default (check
your sound-card mixer, ALSA does this for example).
