I have a hauppage WinTV - which has brooktree bt848 chipset, I am using an encoder to record a channel from the tuner, and it is taking sound from the line-in of my sound card.
The WinTv card has a loop outside the box from a LINE-OUT on the WinTV into the LINE-IN on the soundcard- under Windows this worked fine... ... under linux there is absoloutely no sound coming out of the TV-Card, and am wondering if anyone knows of why this is happening - or can suggest a few things to look at.
