This is where my interest lies!  I want to use the kfir chip for what
I use 40-50% of my Athlon TB 800 right now, encoding to MPEG.

The kfir does not encode audio with the MPEG?  Or is it that the MPEG2
decoder doesn't decode it?

This is about the bitrate I am encoding to with mp1e in software.  I
would like to offload it to a hardware encoder.
