I removed the sticker again, and noticed the smaller sticker you mentioned. It says
TCL 2002MI-2 which is listed in bttv tuner list as an LG, philips compatible. I did test the card again in windows, and sadly, no joy, though it worked a few weeks ago when I last tested it. At least its now know what tuner is on this card, in case any one else has problems.
