The channel is in your /etc/X11/xawtvrc
or ~/.xawtvrc file, so you would have an entry:

[61+]
frequency=...

or something (do scantv -o xawtvrc to get
a sample format for this)

Of course if you type v4lctl at the command
line, the shell might interpret the +,
and you might have to use single quotes or
a backslash or....
