Are anyone able to use Bt8x8 TV card on a mainboard with DDR333 / PC2700
RAM and a P4 Northwook 1.8a CPU?

I bought an Abit SD7 card, but it locks up hard when using any TV
application with a WinTV/PCI card.
I've tried all kind of driver parameters, PCI slots, upgraded kernels
and upgraded drivers.. and finally conclude that the Abit SD7 is utterly
unusable with Hauppauge PCI TV cards. (Rather.. the SiS chipset is no
good, and the Abit BIOS less than forgiving: It can not be tuned in
accordance to Hauppauges recommended workaround for the freezes.)

Hauppauges own driver/TV-app for Windows-XP has a workaround for the
problem, which btw is mentioned in their FAQ. But it's a chore to boot
Windows each time i want to watch TV.

Please (!): Only reply if:
-you successfully run a Hauppauge PCI TV card on a mainboard designed
for and using the mentioned type RAM and a Northwood CPU.
-or if you successfully use ANY kind of TV card on an Abit SD7 mainboard.

Thanks;
R.K.Aa.
