Hi can someone give me some pointers on installing the kernel patch
required by bttv 8.14. Whenever I record with xawtv it complains of a
pre historic bttv driver. I assume you use the patch that is located in
the patch directory of the bttv package, paste it to
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-3, do a make clean and then I get the following:
From here I'm lost or just not doing it right....

[root@localhost linux-2.4.18-3]# patch -p0 -E < videodev.diff
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|diff -ur vanilla-2.4.3/drivers/media/radio/radio-aimslab.c
2.4.3/drivers/media/radio/radio-aimslab.c
|--- vanilla-2.4.3/drivers/media/radio/radio-aimslab.c Fri Mar 2
20:12:10 2001
|+++ 2.4.3/drivers/media/radio/radio-aimslab.c  Tue Apr 10 13:28:48 2001
--------------------------
File to patch:

The docs are non existant on the subject and if someone could show me
out of the woods I would greaty appreciate it. I'm using a Cyrix II CPU
512mb ram Red Had 7.3 With an Aver Media Card (That I cant get sound
out of) Thanks in advance.
