The static sound is due to audio not being muted properly. This was present on my FV2K too until it was solved using external muting. (There's an additional mute: input entry for FV2K for this purpose). However, the saa7134 chip should be able to implement on-chip audio muting and is used for the other saa7134-based boards, so I don't advise defining the mute: input unless nothing else works.
