Hello,

I am trying to set up my Logitech Quickcam driver under Linux. I have done it before, so I know it is possible. I am using qce-ga-0.40c with V4L as the drivers, and will eventually use gqcam as my capture application. /var/log confirms the device is registered:

Nov 6 03:27:24 www kernel: usb-uhci.c: USB UHCI at I/O 0xb000, IRQ 5
Nov 6 03:27:24 www kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 2

Nov 6 03:27:24 www kernel: uhci.c: USB Universal Host Controller Interface driver v1.1

lsmod confirms that the drivers are in place.

However, there is simply no /dev/video or /dev/video0 file. I believe it is either supposed to always be there, or be created upon plugging in of the camera. I have Dejagoogled and am unable to find a fix for this problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yours Truly,
